The House

A statement of arrival, in the truest Gilded-Age sense.

Lanier House occupies an 11,638-square-foot Beaux-Arts landmark at 123 East 35th Street in Murray Hill. Designed by Hoppin & Koen — architects trained at the École des Beaux-Arts and alumni of McKim, Mead & White.

Constructed between 1901 and 1903 for the banker James F. D. Lanier. Designated a New York City Individual Landmark in 1979.
